Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Rocky Mountain Wireline Service ("RMWS", "we", "us" or "our") collects through rmws.com (the "Site"), how we use it, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have. It applies only to the Site, not to information we collect in other ways, such as on a job site or under a service contract.

Information you give us
You can browse the Site without telling us who you are. We only receive personal information when you choose to send it through one of the Site's forms:
- Sales inquiries (Contact Us): your name, email address, phone number and message.
- Job applications (Employment): the branch and position you are applying for; your name, email address and phone numbers; your city, state and ZIP code; whether you have wireline experience; anything else you choose to tell us; and a résumé or other file if you attach one.
Please do not include sensitive information in a form, such as a Social Security number, driver's license number, bank details or health information. We do not need it at this stage and will ask for anything further directly.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we use Google Analytics to understand how it is used: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are (city or region, based on IP address), what kind of device and browser they use, how they arrived at the Site, and whether they used a form, phone number or email link. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology to do this. We use this information only in aggregate, to see how the Site is performing and what to improve. We do not use it to identify you, and we do not use advertising or remarketing features.
Our hosting provider also records standard technical information, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to deliver the Site securely and keep it running.
Cookies and similar technology
- Google Analytics cookies measure visits as described above.
- Your display preference: if you choose the Site's light or dark mode, your browser remembers that choice. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.
- The map on our Contact page is provided by Google Maps. Google may set its own cookies when the map loads; its use is governed by Google's privacy policy.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics on every site with Google's browser add-on. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, the Site does not load Google Analytics at all.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and provide the services you ask about.
- To review and respond to your job application, and to contact you about it.
- To keep records of the inquiries and applications we receive.
- To understand how the Site is used and to improve it.
- To protect the Site and our business, and to comply with the law.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you used a form.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with the service providers who run parts of the Site for us, and only so they can do that work:
- Netlify hosts the Site and runs the code that receives form submissions.
- Resend delivers form submissions to our staff by email.
- Turso stores form submissions, including attached files, so our staff can review and manage them.
- Phifer Web Solutions, our web developer, maintains the Site and these systems.
- Google provides Google Analytics and the map on our Contact page.
Inside RMWS, inquiries and applications are seen only by the staff who handle them. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights, property or safety or those of others, or as part of a merger, sale or reorganization of our business.
How long we keep it
We keep sales inquiries and job applications for as long as we need them to respond, to consider you for a position, and for our business records, and then delete them. You can ask us to delete yours sooner at any time. Google Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics account and is then deleted automatically.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing sales@rmws.com or calling (970) 245-9828. We will respond within 45 days and may need to confirm your identity first. Depending on where you live, the law may give you additional rights; we will honor those that apply.
Security
The Site is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and form submissions are stored in systems that only authorized people can access. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us.
Children
The Site is meant for adults and businesses. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
The Site links to other websites, such as our Facebook and LinkedIn pages. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
